Yukon Women’s Coalition: Narrative Identity Design

This is exactly the kind of work we love: helping organizations with big hearts that are hell-bent on making their communities better places.

The Yukon Women’s Coalition brings together 11 feminist, women-led organizations doing incredible work across the territory. Together, they’re tackling complex issues like gender-based violence, housing insecurity, systemic racism, and barriers to support, all while working toward a more equitable Yukon.

Creating a visual identity for a coalition like this meant finding a way to celebrate both the individuality of each organization and the strength they share when they come together.

The icon combines a Y, sun, mountain, river, and watershed inspired by the Yukon landscape. But the watershed tells an even bigger story. Its interwoven streams represent the many experiences of women, organizations coming together in pursuit of gender equity, and the erosion of patriarchal systems.

We combined a colour palette inspired by Yukon in the fall with photography that celebrates both place and people. Every part of the identity was designed to reflect a coalition connected by a shared vision for the future.

We also partnered with YWC to develop a social media strategy that helps them tell their story, strengthen their voice, and continue building meaningful connections with communities across the territory.
